Drama Integration for

Drama integration is often described by Christy as ‘sneaky, sneaky teaching’, because the students are having fun while reaching their learning objectives. Drama integration is a powerful teaching strategy that takes an existing curriculum and transforms it into an ‘on your feet’ active approach. By using dramatic techniques (e.g. WOOSH, guided narrations, tableaus, student as expert, etc.), students gain crucial skills, such as critical thinking, reading comprehension, meta-cognition, and working together as a group. Drama integration is particularly effective with students who may struggle with a traditional curriculum. Christy is passionate about sharing drama integration to reach multiple levels of learners.
